Process automation: where to start without disrupting the company

The temptation, when talking about automation, is to want to change everything at once. In our experience that's almost always a mistake: processes automated poorly, or too quickly, generate more manual correction work than they save.

Our approach starts with an honest mapping exercise: which activities are repetitive, which require human judgment, which are simply poorly documented and need clarifying first. Only after this phase do we choose what to automate first, favoring high-volume, low-risk processes.

The result is automation that people in the company understand and trust, instead of an opaque system someone stops using at the first exception.
